Un autre petit exercice de WildPoetryForum. Cette semaine, je l'ai trouvé plutôt difficile : À partir d'un poème déjà écrit, ajouter 3 métaphores ou comparaisons. Enfin, voilà le résultat avec les ajouts en italique :

I think I understand now
The purpose of this tragedy
The climax to a lie
From the lips I imagined
When I sought comfort
A backyard bomb shelter
It's all coming back now
The truth hitting in my ear
From the barrel of a gun
Explosions of reality
A state of mind I never reached
Under my skin
The pain feels so much real
What did you expect ?
As a burning candle
You set all things on fire
And hope I wouldn't jump ?
I just wish
The image sticks so deep
That you will fail to see
The life you would have lived
On your journey without me
I hope you understand now
